While negotiating price we asked about their ad in paper stating "0% interest on ALL Fords, Chryslers" etc. We were told 0% was ONLY on selected makes and models.......False Advertising! When we couldn't make a deal on the price we left and got a call the next morning. We told them our figures and they said come in and we'll talk. When we arrived at the appt. time we had to walk across the entire parking lot to a different showroom and wait several minutes for Steve Sari, an owner. When he came to discuss the car with us, he made us stand in the showroom at the rental car counter and told us how insulting our offer was.... that they have to 'pay the invoice price of the cars they purchase' and when we said we didn't believe that was true - he asked my husband "what do you do for a living?"....which had no logical bearing on the conversation except to insinuate he was some kind of simpleton that couldn't comprehend the 'science'
of being a carsalesman. Lucky for him I was speechless at his rudeness and stupidity. Beside the fact he never asked ME what I did for living and I'M the one buying the car. When the salesman called us to come in a discuss pricing, we gave him all our figures and how we got them. But when I asked Mr. Sari why they bothered to have us come in when they knew these numbers, he claimed he was unaware of that information and said we wouldn't find that car ANYWHERE for the price we wanted. Evidently he just wanted to berate a couple potential customers in full view of his employees and those in the showroom.
We left, bought an Oregonian and went to Portland where there were several ads for the EXACT car we wanted at OUR price. Good thing you didn't sell us that car at the ridiculous price we offered....now you can "keep the lights on".
