I was completely satisfied with Dave Smith Motors until we pulled away from the lot! First of all about a week following the purchase of our 2004 Ford Expedition (May 29th purch date) I had the truck put through the wash and there were swirl marks all over the passenger side from the deatail job. We paid 155.00 for this detail and this was not acceptable. I called 4x to Nick (salesperson) regarding this and no reply back, I would like to also throw in he would call in a moments notice prior to purchase of vehicle. Two weeks later there was a howling noise in the rear end, I called Nick no reply so I called Steve (mgr) he says that we purchased as is although Nick verbally told me a 90 day warranty!! (Shame on us for verabal from him) Steve does mention that get est. and he might see what he can do, is this fair, he says. I call to let them know that the ring and pinion is bad, no return call. Call Lynn (mgr) no return call. Now the truck is sitting at Gus Johnson Ford in Spokane,Wa in which they are replacing $1600.00 worth of parts and there is another 1565.00 to replace ring and pinion. Granted this was a used vehicle but we did pay 16500.00 for the SUV and apparently that means nothing to Dave Smith. I will be persuing at least the reimburse for detail job since we paid for this. But as Steve (mgr used sales) said, you bought as is. I work for one of the biggest employers in Spokane and I can guarantee the word is getting out.

Buyer Beware! We drove 14hrs one way to pick up a new truck and trade in our old truck. We already had our preapproval from our bank but since Dave Smith Motors will not commit to any numbers for your trade in on the phone we were stuck with "you will be happy with our offer guarenteed". Our sales guy,Joe Rudd,completes a finance application for us, so he say's, a week prior to our arrival which will ensure that we are locked into any Factory incentives and that we are in and out of there on the day we arrive. along with our 500 dollar deposite to ensuring they will hold the vehicle we wanted. I asked Joe Rudd, what if we are not happy with our deal when we arrive and choose to walk away, will you refund our 500 dollars? He tells us this money is mandatory if we want the vehicle we decided on because someone else would sell it out from under us and that if we were not satified with the deal we could get this deposite back especially since we showed good faith by driving 14 hours one way to make the deal. We arrive, it's a cluster, not only did Joe not do anything he said he was going to do with the tempory financing, dave smith motors has their own NADA book which was explaned by one of the managers to me as not the same as the Banks or NADA on line. How nice for them, not so nice for the costumer. Even so we agree on a price only to learn that we will have to wait for Dave Smith Motors to finance us! 6 hours later, still waiting. My credit rating is over 700, we are exhausted and we inform them that we will wait at a local hotel for Dave Smith Motors to do what ever they were doing keeping in mind that we are leaving early in the morning with or without the new vehicle for the long drive home so. Finally at 730 pm we get a call from Joe saying we will have to comeback tomorrow and they will see what they can do. I told Joe we are not happy and that we have no deal and to refund our money to our credit card. We leave the next morning for home and get a call at noon from Joe who is very happy to announce that they have approved us for the temperary financing! Wow we are 5 hours down the road and Joe has no recollection of any prior conversations up to this point with us! I said to Joe he did not do anything he said he would and that we are not happy with the deal and want our deposite back. We get a text which again completely disreguarded any previous discusions between Joe Rudd and us saying that we just need to be adult about this and come on in. I again stated that per our agreement we are not happy with the deal and to return the deposit to our card. That was the last time we have heard from these guys and a week later, you guess it, no refund. Nothing in writing for my credit card to verify so I'll not be getting my money back. What a circus up there! No respect for your time and they have the attitude that your lucky to be in the presence of Dave Smith Motors so your going to do as your told and like it. Lesson learned and you can believe, I'll spread the word!

HAD CAR FOR FOR LESS THAN 8 HOURS AND HAD PROBLEM. THEY KEPT FOR A WEEK; FIGURED IT OUT FINALLY AND CHARGED ME TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP! ARE YOU JOKING?

Started out with no pick up from the airport; had to wait for over 2 hours; took an additional 2+ hours to get the dealership;they screwed up my financing after they told me it was a done deal and all I had to do was sign. Ended up charging me 120 dollars more a month!worst service ever!!!! Beware!

I was quoted a decent base price, however, I was misquoted shipping into Alaska. When I asked the salesman to honor the quoted price, I was told he could not do so.
A certified cashiers check was sent via overnight mail to the dealer, and I was told my vehicle would be shipped...yet it is now nearly 3 weeks later, and my vehicle still sits in Idaho. This dealership cashed my check for $44,666 within 2 days of getting it. Yet, I have no vehicle enroute to me.
When I called, they stated the salesman handling my sale was fired, and someone else was handling it now.
While the price was right, and much below every other dealer I was dealing with...I'd rather have paid more, and be driving my car, then sitting in Fairbanks, AK wondering when it'll get here.

I bought a new truck that was supposed to have the TRX4 package. It had the TRX4 sticker but was missing quite a few items. Not happy and no response from either the sales manager or the company President.
