Crown Motors Inc Dealer Reviews Melinda 07/08/2009 Price Quote Average Salesperson Average Inventory Good Trade-in Average Finance Average Service Poor Overall Poor Comments I purchased a 2004 Kia Amanta. Paid in full at time of purchase. All was goo until it needed service. It all went down hill from there. I would carry it in with the mirrors not working, the would say that I would have to pay for repairing. Would then carry it in to have some other service such as the center master panel. It would go out and maybe in some day or so it would come back on. They would say they didn't know what was wrong with it. Each time we would have to leave the car for 2 ore 3 days to find out what they have found. The last thing, on June 29th, 2009 as the check engine light came on, on Sunday June 28th, 2009. So we carred the car to Crown Motors on Monday the 29th. We told them to check on this and also do a few more things. Put on wiper blades, rotate and balance the tires, change the oil. They called back, on the 30th and said they had good news and bad news. They had made all the minor repairs but the bad news was the car showed it needed a Throttle Body Assemble (part # 3510039680). The cost would be some $1,027.00. I said fine in that is what I have to have I will just have to pay it and go on. I then had to go and rent a car. After 5 days I had to carry the car back to Enterprise Car Rental. I had paid some $300.00 to rent the car. I called Crown and they said they had a part on order an it had not come in. I then had to rent a car for a necessay trip some 120 miles away. The cost for that 1 day rental was $62.00. The next day I called Crown Motors and and asked about the progress of the repair. They said the part was back ordered and they did not have it in. I told them you have got to please help me. I cannot continue to pay some $60.00 a day for car rental. They said they did not have any loner cars and there was noting they could do. So, on July 6th I called and asked if the part had come in. I was told, no it hasn't. This is now 9 days later. I asked to speak with the owner or someone that was in charge. I was told there was no one there to speak with except the manager of the service deparment as he was the highest raking person. So, I got him (his name is James). He told me a story about probately not being able to get the part because the owner of the dealership (Crown Motors) had not paid their bills to Kia Motors for parts. I told Crown Motors I would get a cashier check and give it to them to order the part and let them send it to them. They said Kia would not send them a part unless the entire amount owed by Crown Motors was paid. So, I got the service manager and he said they were in a bad situation. They could not get parts for customers for their cars that needed repair. I then looked on internet and fould the closet Kia dealer to me. That was Riverchase Kia in Pelham, Al. I called Crown and told them to get my car ready for me to pick up. That was today 7-8-09. I told them that I would drive it 76 miles to try and get it repaired. The car would drive fine but they told me it might drive 10 miles or 100 miles or 3 months but at some time would quit. We picked the car up and drove the 76 miles to Riverchase Kia and explained the situation to them. They said they would put on computer and see what is wrong and get it repaired. So, at that point I was very happy to know that maybe someone was going to try and help me. Also, when I picked my car up from Crown Motors, my front windshield was broken. They looked at it and said it must have be the sun. It has a large star shaped brake in the center of the windshield that could have only come from the outside. That was verified by the service manager at Riverchase Kia. This has been a very costly, and terrible experience for me. Mary 11/03/2005 Overall Poor Comments My ex-husband has traded in his vehicle at your dealership and I needed to sign a couple of papers considering I am the primary person on the account. I was supposed to recieve the papers to sign in the mail and I have not gotten anything. I have tried to speak with the finance manager as well as the title officer on several different occasions and I always get there voice mail or am asked to leave a message with the receptionist. I have yet to receive a call back about this matter. I am very unsatisfied with the customer service that Crown Motors gives. I find it hard to believe that I do not need to sign any document to release my vehicle to the dealership. very bad customer service!!!
