My name is Christopher and I am the happy owner of a 2008 Honda Civic. The primary people I dealt with at Burns were general Manager Jim McCormick and salesman Cliff Townsend. I was greeted by both of them with a laid back friendliness. They were not overly-aggressive and were sincere in answering my questions and helping me find what most suited my needs.
Jim was more interested in doing honest, reputable business, than in making a sizable profit on me. He cares very much for their reputation and for customer service. He was nothing but practical and determined to see me get what I want. He checked in on me in course of my transactions to see that things were going well. I would not have expected as much, but was glad to see it. Far from the hassle it can be, he made buying a car a nice experience for me. I am glad I was referred there.
As for Cliff Townsend, I could not have imagined a better salesman to deal with. He was helpful, intelligent, and efficient. Just as Jim, Cliff was more concerned with earning a good reputation and doing honest business then with trying to make larger profit on me. This was a refreshing characteristic in a car salesman. He did his best to get things done for me in a timely manner, and made things as simple for me as possible. I was not blindsided by hidden costs as I have been by salesman before. After I bought the car I realized there were a few little extras I did not get that we had all accidentally overlooked. Having gotten my money already, he did not blow me off or take his time getting around to me, but rather he helped me handle my problems as easily as possible and again as soon as possible. I would have thought he was the head of the customer service department and not a salesman. I appreciate it Cliff!
